This brings up an interesting issue I don't remember from the films- Do you actively seek out victims, or do you simply attack any people that you see? In the former, sleeping children are toast. What they will lack is easy access to targets. People in rural locations probably have much easier access to weapons, everything from simple hand tools to vehicles to firearms. Big cities certainly give you more access to other people, but you're more likely to not have weaponry next to you. Waking first would give you a decided advantage. I'd say many husbands would kill their wives, but women (in my very limited sampling) tend to be lighter sleepers than men. For those that are sleeping, assuming they even wake up to the sounds of their phones They'd kill the people near them only. Probably depends on the time zone quite a bit. So no, no way would that pub be open can you imagine a pub frequented by dangerous criminals would be even intact after the Signal, let alone have customers? And no one knows why it happened or if it will happen again, and there's no one to tell them, because no one knows outside of like 20 people, and one is too busy shagging a princess. And people are ending their lives because they just killed, well anyone. No police or military to enforce order because their ranks are decimated and there's no one to give orders. There's no word from the government, as no one is sure who's in charge. It seems safe so you head home, only to find that every elite, government official, and celebrity you can think of has mysteriously died. You try to make sense of it maybe get away from others in case you go murder again. There are bodies EVERYWHERE, and people are stopping mid murder. Then fuzzy again and you're in the street, stabbing a cop with a kitchen knife. You come to a lil bit later (I seem to remember they cut the signal for a bit, but it resumes before they stop it), and you're choking your boss, covered in your coworkers blood. Your mobile goes off, and things get fuzzy.
